animal cruelty or not??

 http://en.huanqiu.com/beijing/society/2011-03/634155.html

Recently, I've read an article on how live fishes and turtles have been made into an accessory. Okay, I know the economy is bad and people are trying to find every possible way to make money, but please leave animal cruelty out of it! The key chain either comes with two small king fish or a teeeny tiny Brazilian turtle. Supposedly, the water has nutrients which is let the fishes and turtles live for months. Months?! Ummm, more like 1 or 2 days at most! So this is in a small pouch with no holes. Where is the oxygen people?!  This is just by far the most outrageous thing created. If I had the money, I would buy all of it just to set the poor fishes and turtles free. But on the other hand, I wouldn't pay whoever came up with this idea a cent for this poor invention.

underestimated santee alley or notttt??

i do not take credit for this picture :)
bought at "Bubbles"
The last time I shopped at Santee Alley, the only thing I got was the M.A.C Hello Kitty Eyeshadow Palette and some hair clips.  At the time, the clothes weren't so stylish so I was not excited to go this time.  Apparently, Santee Alley's styles improved and I could not help but walk into almost every clothing store! I was so sad I couldn't shop because I'm currently not working right now and have to watch what I buy. There were so many cute floral blouses and dresses and all were at a decent price! A shirt I forgot to go back for was only $12! Of course, tip #1, put on your walking shoes and go through EVERY store and I guarantee you, you will find a better price than the first store you walked into. Unfortunately, I vowed to myself that I would only buy clothes that i LOVE now, not like anymore. I found this grey tank and it fits so perfectly. It was $13.99 and my mommy paid for it :) I can wear this shirt with sooo many things in my closet! I'm excited for Spring!!!!

can you eat a diaper cake?

THE diaper cake

I wore a floral print dress for F21 that I absolutely adore
BFF Dorothy
and a few friends that we met today....meet Olive

BFF Rose, Me, BFF Dorothy, and Sunny
So this is the first post where I finally decide to show my ugly face lol I went to my first baby shower today! Both future mommy and daddy are close friends of mine (they're almost like family :D) It was a fun baby shower and the schedule was packed with lots of fun games. We played all kinds of games from unscrambling words to eating poop (chocolate) on a diaper to even drinking games (of course I was not involved lol). The thing that amazed me the most was the diaper cake! My BFF Dorothy told me about it and I literally thought it was a cake I can eat LOL butttt when i saw it in person today, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen! I am so making it for my BFF when she has her baby shower :) If you need some ideas, leave me a message and I'll help you steal a few ideas :)

ohhh if only i could....

Rodarte

Marc by Marc Jacobs
Ohhh thy gosh!!! I AM wayy behind on trend! Designers are already previewing their Fall 2011 line. I am loving all the mixed colors and the solids! Here you can see some of my favorites from Rodarte and Marc by Marc Jacobs. I love the business look and the trousers. Unfortunately I can't pull it off wearing trousers that high but I'm working on it :) As for Marc by Marc Jacobs, I love the satin-y feel and look of the blouses and would LOVE to get my hands on them! Tribal prints are also making me go loco for them right now (the good kind of loco). Since I am a poor, broke college student, I guess I can't do anything about it for now but starve at school and save up for one of those blouses. ohhhh if only i could....

behind on fashion

Of course, Vicky would be behind in the trend! I've been so into the neutrals and the pales lately, that I forgot about the new trend that is evolving! BRIGHT SOLIDS! I really adore Camilla Belle's look and loveeeee her emerald pants. One thing I learned in my interior designing is that the color wheel is a useful source, especially in this situation. HA! So if you're having trouble putting outfits together, just use this color wheel or the next time you're out shopping to help you pick out the perfect solids! :)

why i NEEEED a cotton jar or the world will end

I never knew the importance of a cotton jar besides from the fact that it's called a COTTON jar. silly me. I've been using the Clinique's 3-Step Skin Care System and I find myself going from the bathroom to my room just to get a swab of cotton (for Step #2) and then walking ALLLLLLL the way back to the bathroom (my room is the master bedroom so it's just like 5 or 6 steps). Then tonight it dawned on me why PEOPLE HAVE A COTTON JAR DUHHHHHH. I, then, went onto Pottery Barn's website and looked up a few jars and the ones I see here from Pottery Barn are very classy and can be used in so many different ways! I can fill them up with candy and set them out at a themed party! So the next time I'm at Pottery Barn or Target and I'm not so broke like I am at the moment, I will consider getting one. For now I guess I'm just going to have to take those extra SIX steps to my room just to get A swab of cotton. WHY IS LIFE SO HARD WITHOUT A COTTON JAR? -_______-

hi i'm vicky. and.....???

So as you can see in my "about me," I wrote that hopefully by scrolling down my page, you will see what I am all about. Well, as a matter of fact, I don't even know what I am all about. I once went to an interview for Forever 21 and I was asked where do I get my styles from and what inspires me. Well................I had a brainfart and did not know how to respond to that! STUPID ME! Well, I wish I started this blog years ago and I would have known how to answer that! I made up some stupid answer and told them I get my styles from magazines like Glamour and Teen Vogue (hahahaha howwwwww typical of an 18 year old girl). Obviously I did.......NOT get the job and that was my own dumb fault for not researching more about myself (not Forever 21). Here's to a chance of finding out what I am about and what inspires me. Hopefully for the next job interview, I can answer that question easy breeezy.

P.S. I wish I knew how to change my background and text color to pink because ohhh you know, my title IS "Pretty in Pink-ish" :P
